Abstract

Background: Endometrial polyps are localized intrauterine overgrowths of the endometrium that may be single or multiple, may measure from a few millimeters to centimeters, and may be sessile or pedunculated. The prevalence is reported to be between 7.8 - 34.9%, depending on the population studied. The prevalence of endometrial polyps appears to be increased in infertile women.
